Police Department Services
Our office is located at 202 Valley Drive, Blue Grass, Iowa, however, we are dispatched through the Scott County Sheriff’s Department at either the emergency 911 phone number or the non-emergency phone number of (563) 381-1485. When an officer is not on duty, the Scott County Sheriff’s Department is then dispatched to the call. Our office is a sub-station for the Scott County Sheriff’s Department, where they can complete and transmit their reports. We also have a data master that each department utilizes for intoxicated subjects.
The Blue Grass Police Department currently employs two full-time Officers. Police Chief John Jensen and Corporal Morrissey, whom is a certified evidence technician.
The Blue Grass Police Department is here to serve and protect and assist other agencies whenever needed. The department has a great working relationship amongst each other as well as with others.
Chief Jensen has been Chief of Police for over three years with the City and previously served as Sergeant for seven years. He is currently completing his Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice. He has been with Blue Grass for over twelve years.
Corporal Morrissey has been an Officer for the City for the last seven years and promoted to Corporal for the past six years. |
